Motola, like so many who must share their lives with former war zones and forgotten minefields, lost a limb in 1999. Thankfully, she walked again today courtesy modern medicine and an artificial limb. The thing is, she’s an elephant.

200 Pound Python killed in Florida

An 11-year old boy, Cory Surls, spotted the giant python slithering along the bank of the canal next to the clinic.

Cory ran to get his uncle, veterinarian Doc Harvey, who shot the snake in the head, killing it.

The Dutch have been fighting the rising and falling tides for centuries, building dikes and pumping water out of areas that are below sea level.

Now, rather than fight the water infiltrating their land, the Dutch will use it as part of a new development called ‘New Water‘, which will feature the world’s first floating apartment complex, The Citadel.

A small pistol (Remington .41 caliber Double Derringer) belonging to 1930s gangster John Dillinger has been sold at auction to a private collector for $95,600

His exploits have inspired at least five movies or TV films including the most recent release “Public Enemies” in which Dillinger is portrayed by actor Johnny Depp.

Instead, they decided to operate on the young creature, named Betty, to give her a bionic leg.

She was fitted with steel pins, nuts and bolts to build a leg brace which soon got her back up and waddling around.

The Autonomous City Explorer, or ACE, is completely dependent on directions to get to where it needed to go.

This robot was recently let loose off campus from a University in Munich, and it was programmed to get to a landmark 1.5 kilometers away.
