Late Dutch prince’s Ferrari “Auctioned”

A Ferrari belonging to the late Prince Bernhard has been auctioned for 350,000 euros. Experts had expected to car to go for 400,000 euros.

It is a Ferrari 212 from 1955, of which only five were ever made. It is not known who the new owner is. This is the first time a Ferrari belonging to Queen Beatrix’s father has been auctioned.

Amsterdam “cracks down” on gangs

All 11 members of an Amsterdam gang have been found equally responsible for committing acts of vandalism on New Year’s Eve and ordered to pay nearly €9,000 in damages – or €800 each.

It is the first time the city has brought charges against all members of a gang instead of trying each individual separately. Mayor Job Cohen hopes the sentences will have a preventive effect

Anouk to teach pop at conservatory

Dutch singer Anouk is going to give lessons in pop music to students at Amsterdam’s conservatory, the Telegraaf reports on Wednesday.
